My Tour of South Restaurant and Pies in Sacramento California
South is contemporary Southern cuisine located in the Southside Park area of Sacramento. The menu is a mix of vernacular cooking and good O family traditions. They use no gimmicks and no crazy science.
The owners are a husband and wife team, Ian and N’Gina Kavookjian. The Kavookjian’s goal for South is to offer a friendly and comfortable neighborhood restaurant with an energetic vibe and a creative menu designed to appeal to the palate of Sacramento.

They serve just two kinds of pie sweet potato and pecan pie. Is it worth visiting just for the pies? YES!
